This study, produced by the Australian Gambling Research Centre, Australian Institute of Family Studies, sought to identify what is currently known about restrictions placed on Australian gamblers within the licensed online wagering environment and the impact of these on consumers' behaviour.

The study was commissioned by the Department of Social Services (DSS) as part of the government's response to the O'Farrell Review into Illegal Offshore Wagering recommendation that further research be undertaken on the impact of betting restrictions.
