Gambler Self-Help Strategies

Commissioned by Gambling Research Australia this project, undertaken by teams from Monash University, Southern Cross University, the University of Calgary and Australian National University used a multi-method approach to develop a comprehenisve list of self-help strategies and actions.  

The research then sought to examine the uptake and helpfulness of the strategies identified within an Australian context.

Self-help was defined by the study as strategies that are (i) non-professionally administered; (ii) largely self-administered; and (iii) under personal control.
