Sweeping Reforms to Tackle Pokies Harm (VIC)

VICTORIA:  The Minister for Gaming and Liquor Regulation, Marlene Kairouz, has announced new measures to be introduced in Victoria as part of its gambling harm minimisation strategy.

The changes, introduced to Parliament under the Gambling Regulation Amendment (Gaming Machine Arrangements) Bill 2017, include:  new withdrawal limits in gaming venues; added restrictions on regional EGM caps; and a ban on static advertising on public transport, roads and within 150 meters of all schools, amongst others.
