The 26th Annual Conference of the National Association for Gambling Studies (NAGS) is being held this year at The Hilton Hotel, Cairns from 23-25 November 2016.
The theme of the conference is 'Many pathways: The diversity of gamblers and gambler behaviour'.

The annual NAGS conferences attract national and international speakers from many different areas in the gambling field, including researchers, policy-makers, industry representatives, clinicians, counsellors and a wide range of people working with communities.
The aim of the conference is to explain and explore research and developments in treatment and service delivery, community development and industry practices in order to share knowledge and expertise
NAGS 26th Annual Conference Theme - 'Many pathways: The diversity of gamblers and gambler behaviour'
The conference theme seeks to explore how factors such as culture, geographical location and individual differences (e.g. background, demographics, place, personality) are related to people's engagement with gambling; their risk of negative impacts; and, how they respond to interventions or policies designed to reduce gambling related harm.
