The Tasmanian Gaming Control Act 1993 requires that an independent review of the social and economic impact of gambling in Tasmania is conducted every three years.

Volumes One and Two of the Fourth Impact Study were released on 16 January 2018.

Undertaken by a consortium comprised of ACIL Allen Consulting, Deakin University, Central Queensland and the Social Research Centre these latest volumes cover: ​

• Industry Trends and Impacts; and
• The 2017 Tasmanian Prevalence Survey
