Responsible Conduct of Gambling Study
This study, by Central Queensland University, was commissioned to review and inform potential improvements to Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) practices in NSW.
The research methodology included:
- a rapid literature review of academic papers and grey literature;
- an online survey of over 2,000 venue staff who had undertaken RCG training in the past five years and were employed in a NSW club or hotel at the time of the survey; and
- focus groups with venue staff working in NSW clubs and hotels.

The Effect of Gambling Marketing and Advertising on Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults (UK)
This research project suggests that there are reasonable grounds for concern as there is a clear link between gambling advertising and the attitudes, current and likely future behaviours of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Based on these findings, Ipsos MORI has identified 18 recommendations for industry, regulators and researchers.

Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation (VRGF) Community Attitudes Survey 2019
In 2019 the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation (VRGF) surveyed Victorians about their attitudes and perceptions on gambling.
Topics covered included thoughts on gambling harm and stigma, setting limits when gambling, and gambling and sport.
The insights from the survey are informing the work of the VRGF in addressing gambling harm.
Gambling advertising in Australia: Consumer and advertising placement research
In 2018 Australian gambling restrictions were updated. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) monitored the operation of these new restrictions.
The main aim of this research was to measure recent trends in gambling advertising and parents' experience of, and attitudes to, gambling advertising in live sport since the new rules were introduced.

The Department for Social Services has released the baseline study for measuring the success of the new National Consumer Protection Framework in reducing harm associated with gambling harm.
