Annette Kimmitt appointed new VGCCC CEO

Annette Kimmitt AM has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC).

Ms Kimmitt will commence as CEO on 21 March 2022.

Perth Casino Royal Commission final report to be handed down

The Perth Casino Royal Commission is expected to deliver its final report to the Governor and Premier of Western Australia today, 4 March 2022.

The Government will respond to the report's findings and recommendations, and table the report in Parliament in due course.

Tabcorp and Lottoland awarded Victoria's Keno licences

The Victorian government has announced that Keno licences have been granted to Tabcorp and Lottoland after a competitive tender process.

The two licensees will be authorised to conduct and distribute the game of Keno in eligible hotels, clubs, wagering outlets and, for the first time, online.

The new Gambling Community Benefit (GCBF) annual ‘super round’ is now open for not-for-profit and community groups to apply for funding. This ‘super round’ is providing grants of up to $100,000 to go towards projects that benefit local communities across the State.

Six community clubs have received funding as part of the ACT Government's Diversification and Sustainability Support Fund, which helps Canberra's clubs diversify their business models away from gambling-based revenue. A total of $943,000 has been allocated six clubs in the ACT.
